The Boston Bruins will need help up front, with Trevor Zegras's time coming to an end in Anaheim, could he be fit in Black and Gold? The Bruins Network thinks so.
Trevor Zegras's time in Anaheim may be coming to an end. He's been unable to put together a successful season with the Ducks, after a consecutive 60-point season with the team.
He underwent successful surgery to repair his meniscus on December 12th, and this could be another long spell that he's out. Which could give someone like GM Pat Verbeek a reason to give him a fresh start.
So should GM Don Sweeney of the Boston Bruins make a move and trade for Zegras while his value is low?
Ducks forward Trevor Zegras underwent successful surgery this morning for a torn meniscus in his right knee. Zegras is expected to be out of the lineup for approximately six weeks. The 23-year-old forward was injured in Anaheim's game against Vegas on Dec. 4 at Honda Center.
What could it cost for the Bruins to acquire Zegras? Well, he won't come cheap, and for comparison, we could look at what another original-six team could pay for him.
The Eichel trade cost Vegas Peyton Krebs, a former 1st round pick and at the time a top prospect for Vegas, Alex Tuch, a middle six winger at the time, and 1st and 3rd round picks. Using this as a starting point if the Rangers acquire Trevor Zegras, we are likely looking at Filip Chytil, Brennan Othmann, and a 1st round pick. To start we might have to consider moving Fabian Lysell, Matthew Poitras, or Mason Lohrei, and a 1st-round pick in the next draft.

This season Zegras has scored 10 points( 4 G, 6 A) in 24 games and wherever he lands next could see him return to form.
