Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy is under fire after he was caught just standing there doing nothing while Mason Lohrei got tossed around.

Things ended up getting hectic between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers during the second period, and Charlie McAvoy has been under fire for it, and it's not a good look.

With just over 10 minutes remaining in the second period, a scrum ended up breaking out in the offensive zone for the Boston Bruins.

Former Boston Bruins forward AJ Greer, and Mason Lohrei were going at it, and you could clearly see Charlie McAvoy sitting around just watching.

Greer is known for this style of play, but you can clearly see that Mason Lohrei is not know for his physicality, and while he was getting tossed around, Charlie McAvoy who wears an "A" on his jersey was just standing around.

Anyone think it's a little odd that your Alternate Captain just stood there while Lohrei was getting rag dolled?

One fan pointed out that this week, the Boston Bruins posted a video of the Bruins off the ice and you could see that Charlie McAvoy had his wrist/thumb wrapped up, and believe this is the reason why he did not step in, and a big reason why he has been struggling this year.

There was an «off ice» video posted by the Bruins this week and Mac was in street clothes.looked as thought his wrist/thumb is all messed up.
