The Bruins organization are continuing to prepare for the draft and unrestricted free agency, and it appears that the Colorado Avalanche maybe the front runner to acquire Bruins netminder Linus Ullmark.

Ullmark has been speculated on the goalie who will move from the Bruins as Jeremy Swayman has taken the next step in his career and solidified himself as the overall #1 goalie. He will be seeking a large pay raise and term as he will be finishing his contract, which leads the Bruins to trading all mark as he holds a $5,000,000 cap hit going into next season.

The Avalanche are one of several teams looking at Ullmark's availability as the team is going through goaltending questions of their own. With Pavel Francouz retired due to long term health issues and many question marks surrounding Alexandar Georgiev who had an unstable season and playoffs, making a deal for Ullmark with solve many issues the team is facing.

To craft the deal, the Avalanche will need to dip into their depth and minor system to acquire his services. The Avalanche only has 12 players signed going into next season but have a cap space of only 15.9 million which will make it difficult to fit numerous players into their lineup. The Bruins could acquire help down the middle as the team had an issue with scoring goals in the playoffs.

Time will tell if the Bruins in the Avalanche can make a deal, but it's likely that general manager Don Sweeney will receive a call from his counterpart Chris McFarland.
