Over the past couple of years, Boston Bruins Jeremy Swayman has been one of the best goaltenders in the NHL.
Him and the Boston Bruins are having a hard time agreeing on a contract, and it is reported that he is looking to get over $9 million a year on his next contract, but the Bruins only have $8.6 million in cap space.
If Jeremy Swayman actually is wanting this on his next contract than the Bruins may have to complete a trade to afford Jeremy Swayman's services.
Things just got worse for the Boston Bruins as a new goalie ranking has been released from NHL Network, which saw Jeremy Swayman get ranked as the fourth-best goalie in the league.
With this list being published, Jeremy Swayman and his agent could demand a much higher pay day than $9 million a year, which would not be a good thing for the Boston Bruins.
If this is the case the Boston Bruins will have to make some moves and make sure they lock in their starting goaltender.
Do you think Jeremy Swayman is going to demand $9 million or more on his contract?
