Like last summer, Patrice Bergeron has questions surrounding his future with the Bruins, and, again, is linked to the Canadiens, but this time it's different.

Bergeron Going 'Home''?

Bergeron was born in L'Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, and although he grew up a Nordiques fan, he's always been linked to Montreal.

French Journalist Yvon Pedneault of le journal de Montreal was the latest to do so. As he proposed an intriguing idea regarding the Canadiens and the captain of the Bruins.

Per Pedneault (translated from French):

"Last year, Geoff Molson and his group did not hesitate to approach Vincent Lecavalier. Shouldn't they include the name of Patrice Bergeron in their plan for the future?''

''We will say that he is a full member of the Boston Bruins, we all agree. On the other hand, when you end an athletic career, sometimes your priorities change, especially if you are offered a challenge corresponding to projects that you would like to carry out in a completely new role.''

- Yvon Pedneault

Bergeron hasn't made a decision on his future yet, and it could take until August like last summer for fans to know. However, it feels like Boston's longtime core - including David Krejci, Brad Marchand etc - now has some unfinished business with how things ended.

The 37-year-old was just nominated as a finalist for the Selke Trophy for a league-record 12th consecutive time on Tuesday night. In his 19th NHL season, Bergeron also registered 27 goals and 31 assists, while he was a +35 in 78 games.

If he should retire, Pedneault also made an excellent point that Bergeron would be excellent in a team's front office, and although he's from Quebec, I really don't see Bergeron leaving the Bruins organization.

Even if he does decide to move into a coaching or managing job.

What do you think?
