Amid the second worst goal scoring drought of his career, Brad Marchand finally potting his 21st of the season, but his post game reaction was the best part.

Just Laugh It Off

The veteran came into Tuesday night's game against the Capitals in a 16-game goalless streak, dating back to March 9th. However, Marchand ended his dry spell by opening the scoring 8:32 into the second period:

Despite it being the second longest drought of his career (20 games in 2009-10), the Bruins' winger showed his NHL experience by laughing it off postgame.

''It was good to get that one, but it hasn't been a big deal. You almost have to laugh about it.''

Marchand's goal also came on the power play which has been another weak spot for him, as he hadn't scored on the man advantage since January 18th (35 games).

'It gets frustrating, but then it gets to a point where it's just laughable. You can't take it too serious. I think that's what it got to, it got to the point where it's not the norm and I know that and I have much better, bigger expectations, but at the same time we're winning a lot of games and we're having a lot of fun and don't let the frustration get in the way of that.''

Coming off double-hip surgery this off season struggles like this were expected, and Marchand's latest couldn't have come at a better time for him and the his team.

With the playoffs right around the corner, the longtime NHLer is obviously aware of the importance of the timing. Let's just hope this leads to a big postseason for Marchand and the Boston Bruins.

''A whole new season is starting on Monday or Tuesday, whatever it is, and we're looking forward to that.''
