Jeremy Swayman, who is the new starting goalie in Boston, could very well be subject to an offer sheet.
If a team wants to get one over on the Boston Bruins, they could legitimately offer sheet someone like Swayman, to help sabotage the Bruins and their own rebuild.
One team that is markedly looking to improve their roster situation is the Chicago Blackhawks, with their goaltending situation being a bit, chaotic other than Petr Mrazek's presence in the net.
It's been reported back in March 2024 that the team was negotiating with Swayman, but no contract value was confirmed.
With $20.2 Million in cap space, the Calgary Flames could make an offer sheet to Swayman and offer upwards of $6.0 Million and could secure another stud goaltender in net.
This, of course, would set back the rebuild, as the team still hasn't traded Jacob Markstrom, whose been connected to multiple NHL teams in the past.
It's been reported that Swayman had asked for $4.8 million for the last contract and was awarded $3.475 Million in arbitration.
Of course, Markstrom and Swayman would introduce another star-studded 1-2 punch in net for the Flames.
But will Craig Conroy be bold enough to make an offer?
