Pat Maroon violates hockey's unwritten code during warmups
Yesterday, just moments before the start of game one in the playoff series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins, tensions flared during warm-up. Bruins forward Pat Maroon challenged the Leafs by breaking an unwritten rule, boldly crossing the red line as both teams warmed up.

Maroon's daring move was seen as a direct challenge to the Leafs' toughness, hinting at a desire for a physical showdown. Despite ranking second in hits this season, doubts lingered about the Leafs' ability to handle the physicality of playoff hockey.
The Boston Bruins would go on to embarrass the Leafs in their first meeting beating them 5-1. Game two will be on Monday as the Bruins look to take a 2-0 lead in the series before heading to Toronto.
