The head physician for the Boston Bruins, Dr. Peter Asnis has released a statement regarding Team USA's defenseaman Charlie McAvoy, explaining the details of the injury and it's devastating.
Yesterday, the Boston Bruins made it clear that Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy will not be playing in the finals for Team USA at the 4 Natons Face-Off final against Team Canada after he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night.
Bostons head physician now has some information for Boston Bruins fans regarding Charlie McAvoy's condition, and explained in detail what is currently going on with him.
The Boston Bruins released that statement on X (Twitter) and Dr. Asnis stated that McAvoy suffered an injury to his right should acromicolavicular joint during Team USA's first game against Finland on February 13th.
He underwent an irrigation and debridement procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital on February 18. He remains in the hospital, where he is being treated with IV antibiotics, and his condition is improving."
