The Boston Bruins just announced Patrick Maroon's replacement following their trade with the Ottawa Senators.

Patrick Maroon quickly became a fan favourite to the Boston Bruins fans, even though he didn't play man games for the Bruins during the regular-season, during the playoffs fans loved him.

Maroon brought great leadership qualities to the Bruins bench and locker room, and was a good leader for the Bruins, who also wasn't scared to stand up for his teammates.

Following a recent announcement it looks like the Boston Bruins went out and acquired a replacement for Patrick Maroon.

Steve Conroy reported that since the Bruins acquired Mark Kastelic, who plays a similar style of game to Patrick Maroon, it looks like Maroon will not be coming back to the Boston Bruins.

Guessing the Kastelic piece seals Maroon's departure

The Bruins picked up a similar player to Patrick Maroon, but a much younger version of him.

Do you think Mark Kastelic is a good replacement for Patrick Maroon?
