It was revealed earlier today that the Boston Bruins may have missed out on veteran forward Patrick Kane as he appears to be heading back to the Big Apple and signing with the New York Rangers.

It was mentioned that his agent has been working with general manager Chris Drury in hopes of securing a contract as Kane has felt that there is unfinished business with the Rangers due to his major injury last season.
Kane signed with the Detroit Red Wings during the second half of the season in which he played fifty games and had 47 points including 22 goals scored. His appearance on the ice showed no signs of issues since he had invasive hip surgery during the summer which kept him sidelined all the way till February.
A player of Kane's caliber would certainly help the Bruins in goal scoring department as the team continued to struggle to score goals throughout the season and into the playoffs.
Having signed a $2.7 million contract with the Red Wings, it remains to be seen on what the rangers will offer him but with the recent departure of Barclay Goodrow to the San Jose Sharks through the waiver wire it's safe to say that
Kane will have the term and dollar value that he's looking for.
Unrestricted free agency will begin on July 1st at 12:00 PM eastern.
