According to a reporter, the Boston Bruins have completed a transaction with forward Marc McLaughlin although he may not actually be getting sent down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.
Robert Chalmers reported today that the American Hockey League wire shows that the Boston Bruins have sent Marc McLaughlin back down to the American Hockey League.
But Chalmers also reported that this could just be a paper transaction meaning that McLaughlin is on the American Hockey League roster, but is still with the Boston Bruins team.
From Chalmers:
Marc McLaughlin has been a plesent surprise for the Boston Bruins this year, although he has only appeared in nine games for the team.
In those nine games, McLaughlin has been limited to a depth role with the Bruins but has picked up two goals. Before putting newcomer Oliver Wahlstrom into the lineup, McLaughlin was playing third line minutes, but recently got put down to the fourth line.
It's unclear whether or not this trasnaction is just a paper one or if McLaughlin was actually sent down to the American Hockey League.
Stay tuned for further details on this developing story.
