Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco had an interesting message for the Boston Bruins on how they played following their loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Boston Bruins had an ugly start to the West Coast road trip, and in just their first two games they were outscore 13-2 by the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken, and it looked like the entire road trip was going to be an ugly one.

But the Boston Bruins were able to turn things around after their back-to-back losses and played one of their best games of the year against the Vancouver Canucks dominating the whole game and beating the Canucks 5-1, while David Pastrnak picked up four points, one goal and three assists.

The Bruins would conclude their road trip going 2-2-1 after beating the Calgary Flames 4-3 in overtime with a comeback win, and then would blow a 2-0 lead to the Edmonton Oilers and lose 3-2 in overtime.

Following the game Joe Sacco defended his players after blowing the lead stating that the Bruins played a good game, and it was a even tilt up until late in the game when the Oilers pushed hard.

Sacco also stated that it was just unfortunate the Bruins didn't come away with the extra point.

From Sacco:

Joe Sacco on the #NHLBruins overtime loss: "I thought the third was fairly even till the end of the game they started to push hard ... It's just unfortunate we couldn't come away with an extra point tonight."

The Bruins finally put some good games together against really good teams including the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers.

It was clear that the Bruins were tired in their final road trip game which ended up giving the Oilers the advantage, but coming out with a point is always a bonus and you cannot complain.
