A major turn of events has taken place in Tyler Johnson's contract being terminated by the Boston Bruins.

Thursday afternoon the Boston Bruins shocked many by placing veteran forward Tyler Johnson on unconditional waivers for purpose of terminating his contract.

After appearing in just nine games with the Boston Bruins after gaining a contract by signing a PTO with the Bruins in the off-season, the Bruins felt it was best to move on from the veteran forward as he did not bring what they thought he was going to, to the team.

Now there has been a major turn of events.

Today, Tyler Johnson ended up clearing waivers and had his contract terminated by the Boston Bruins organization, and many thought that this may be the end of his playing career in the NHL, but that may not be the case.

According to Chris Johnston, Tyler Johnson is now a free agent, and feels he can still play and will sought after a contract once the NHL's Holiday Roster Freeze is lifted.
