It was revealed yesterday that Bruins superstar David Pastrnak has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Rebecca in a great ceremony held in Croatia.

This event caps off a great last few months for Pastrnak after being thumped out of the NHL playoffs in the second round against the Florida Panthers and then parachuted into the world hockey championships where his home country Croatia took the gold.

The celebrations have continued and now he has his bride to enjoy both their nuptials and the home country win.

This wedding was one of several throughout the summer including Oilers superstar Connor McDavid's wedding which was held just a few days ago and Logan O'Connor who plays for the Colorado Avalanche also tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend.

It's always great to see the NHL and his players attempting to draw closer to its fan base by showing their lives on social media and allowing them to enjoy the moments along with them.

It wasn't long ago that no one was able to see this but with the power of social media and the Internet, NHL stars and the fans are more connected than ever.

We want to extend our congratulations to the Pastrnak's, McDavid's and O'Connors and wish them the best in their new chapter of their lives.
