The Boston Bruins system is home to an array of prospects, excellent and unknown. The staff's responsibility is to identify the top players from the pool of candidates.

Among the "top prospects" for the Bruins, a few stand out: Fabian Lysell, Marc McLaughlin, Mason Lohrei, and so on. However, only a select few will be seen during the upcoming NHL season. Marc McLaughlin, who came close to making the team out of camp last autumn, maybeone of those players.

With the Providence Bruins of the AHL, he has put up 13 goals, 17 assists, and 30 points in 67 games across two seasons. Marc only played 1 game in the 2021-22 campaign but saw a lot more action this past season. After putting up a 30-point season it caught the attention of the Bruins management and earned him a call-up.

The 24-year-old's next goal is to secure a spot in the Bruins' starting lineup after training camp, which is a difficult but doable assignment. Marc McLaughlin, according to Bruins Network, has a great chance of making the squad,

"I think McLaughlin was close to making the roster out of camp last year and so they might reward him first. That said, elite-skating, 6-foot-3 centers with that level of athleticism don't come around often."
