PWHL Boston Gets Flamed For Horrendous Design
Launching its inaugural season in January 2024, the Professional Women's Hockey League is gearing up with training camps scheduled to commence this week.
Recently unveiled, the team uniforms have sparked some lukewarm reactions, with many finding them less than impressive.
Each jersey features the city name diagonally across the chest. Following a pattern similar to the NHL, teams will sport dark jerseys at home and light ones on the road.
Stan Kasten, a member of the PWHL Advisory Board, expressed pride in the league's original six teams, emphasizing their representation of some of North America's most passionate hockey markets.
He stated, "As we lay the groundwork and embark on this inaugural season, our markets play a crucial role in shaping our identity."
In a strategic partnership, the Canadian Tire Corporation, one of the league's initial backers, secures exclusive logo placement on shoulder patches for the three Canadian teams.
However, the online community has not held back in expressing their dissatisfaction, and it seems the critiques are well-founded.
