A recent report from a Boston Bruins insider has revealed that multiple big roster moves may be set to take place before the roster freeze takes place.

According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Mark Allred the Providence Bruins (Bruins affiliate) have brought many extra players with them for their two road trip games, and this could be due to the Bruins making some roster moves.

The roster freeze is set to take place on Friday, and with Marc McLaughlin and Jordan Oesterle being close to their 10 games on their recalls, Allred expects the Boston Bruins to make a couple roster moves.

The Boston Bruins made a surprising transaction already today by placing veteran forward Tyler Johnson who was just signed by the Bruins in the off-season on waivers for the purpose of contract termination.

Everyone from yesterday cleared

Mark believes that the Bruins are set to make a couple more moves before the roster freeze goes into affect.

The #AHLBruins are on a road & brought many extra players for the two games.

With the NHL roster freeze tomorrow & McLaughlin/ Oesterle close to 10 games on their recalls, I'd expect the #NHLBruins to make a few transactions sometime soon bringing up 1/2 players from Providence

Boston Bruins Matt Poitras has been tearing it up for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League with 7 goals, in seven straight games for the Bruins, and there is a chance that he may be recalled at some point today.
