Friedman in his latest 32 Thoughts Podcast stated that we may never know the full story but there are people who think Montgomery was unsure about the Bruins before the Bruins were unsure about him.

Here is what Friedman had to say on the situation:

From Elliotte: "Maybe we will never know the full story, but there are people who believe [Montgomery] was unsure about Boston even before they were unsure about him."

Jim Montgomery had an incredible record with the Boston Bruins during his time as head coach.

His record was 120-41-23 all-time with the organization, and even broke the record of most wins in a single season when the Bruins won 63 games in 2022.

Since Montgomery has been fired, there has been many rumours that he may join a rivals coaching staff.

We wish nothing but the best for Montgomery going forward.
