The Boston Bruins had a great off-season, as they strengthened their blueline, and added depth in goal.

GM Don Sweeney acquired Center Elias Lindholm, whom they felt had a lot of qualities that Patrice Bergeron possessed. He was the biggest signing for the team, as the Bruins in 2023-2024 were lacking depth and relied upon multiple call-ups to shore up the offense.

Lindholm had a 4- point( 15 G, 29 A) season split between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. An regression by any means, and would still play in thirteen playoff games for the Canucks. He will look to improve upon his stats, with linemates like David Pastrnak.

Joonas Korpisalo was acquired in the trade which sent Linus Ullmark to Ottawa, which was a package deal to bring Mark Kastelic, and the 25th overall pick in 2024(Dean Letourneau) to Boston.

Korpisalo played 55 games in Ottawa, and in 2023-2024 regressed under a Senators team who said they were done "rebuilding". His record was 21-26-4, with a 3.27 GAA, and an .890 save percentage.

Lindholm enters his first season with the Bruins following a steady decline in offensive production over the last three years. After a career-best season in 2021-22, in which he scored 42 goals and tallied 82 points in 82 games for the Calgary Flames, Lindholm's numbers have dipped significantly. In the 2022-23 season, he recorded 22 goals and 64 points in 80 games, though still respectable, a noticeable step down from his career highs. Last season, he regressed even further, putting up just 15 goals and 44 points in 65 games split between the Flames and the Vancouver Canucks.

Lindholm would struggle in the offseason but make contributions when it counted during the playoffs, posting 10 points in 13 games for the Canucks. He hopes to find a fresh start in Boston, and being on a contender doesn't hurt either.

Joonas Korpisalo will be working with Bruins goalie coach Bob Essensa and will look to find the game he had when he played with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings.

Korpisalo has been a reliable backup goalie, and in a playoff game against the Tampa Bay Lightning made 85 saves in the bubble.

He is capable of doing better and will look at 2024-2025 to do so.
