It was just announced that the Boston Bruins have recalled Fabian Lysell from the Providence Bruins. This does not mean that Fabian Lysell is going to be on the roster for opening night, but Jim Montgomery, and Don Sweeney stated that Lysell was going to get more opportunities to prove himself.
Early last week the Boston Bruins announced cuts, and many were surprised to see Fabian Lysell, and Geogrii Merkulov get sent down to the Providence Bruins.
Unless an injury takes place before opening night, Fabian Lysell is more then likely going to be starting the season off with the Providence Bruins.
Many believed that Lysell would start the season off with the Boston Bruins in Jake DeBrusk's spot after losing him in free agency to the Vancouver Canucks, but Don Sweeney stated that he wasn't going to hand anyone the role, and that they were going to have to earn it.
A lot of signs are pointing to Tyler Johnson taking Jake DeBrusk spot along side Brad Marchand, and Charlie Coyle this season, as he signed a PTO with the Boston Bruins just before camp, and has impressed a lot of people so far.
There is no doubt that if Lysell doesn't make the roster opening night, he will definitely see some time in the NHL this, and the same goes for Geogrii Merkulov.
