The Boston Bruins officially brought an end to the amazing 1A-1B goalie tandem of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman, once they sent Ullmark to Ottawa. In return, they received Joonas Korpisalo and gave Swayman the top job in Boston.

Swayman who played the majority of the team's post-season games, aside from one now #1 has run into a conundrum. The Bruins and the goalie have yet to come to terms on a new deal, as training camp is a little over a month away.

And the 32 Thoughts Podcast Elliotte Friedman notes that neither side is close to a new deal:

«The last I heard, they weren't close," he said on the latest episode of his '32 Thoughts' podcast. "I think this has been a bit of a challenging negotiation, but they've still got time, and we'll see how this sorts out."

He's just finishing his last contract which was awarded to him in arbitration, a one-year $3.475 Million dollar last summer. He was asking for $5 Million while the Bruins only offered $2 Million AAV.

As of now, the Bruins only have $8.63 Million dollars in cap space available.

Swayman has earned the right to get paid, with a 25-10-8 record, 2.53 GAA a .916 save percentage, and three-shut outs.
