David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported that the Ottawa Senators will be going all out this off-season to find an upgrade in net and would even be willing to trade their 7th overall pick for the right price during this years draft.
Reports have revealed that the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators were in contact about completing a trade at the trade deadline this year, but couldn't figure out all the details, and a trade never happened.
According to Pagnotta the Ottawa Senators are still interested in acquiring former Vezina Trophy winning goalie Linus Ullmark and would be willing to trade the 7th overall pick for him.
A deal hasn't been official yet but we could see one happen soon or at the draft which takes place on June 28th.
The only problem is the fact that Ullmark has a 15 no-trade clause, which could make things complicated for the Bruins and Senators to make a deal, especially since he has made it clear that he wants to play his last year with the Boston Bruins.
Anything could happen though and we could see Ullmark waive his no-trade clause for the Bruins to complete a trade.
Stay tuned for further details.
