This season he's struggled with the Bruins scoring 15 points (8 G, 7 A) in 53 games with the B's. The 2016 1st-round pick has garnered interest around the league this season as a depth option for their bottom six.
He provides a gritty, physical goal-scoring presence in the lineup. Deep in the post-season teams will need a player like him to get in the dirty areas, and if he needs to, drop the gloves.
Fredericcould once again find his stride with a fresh start elsewhere in the NHL.
Last season he scored a career-high 40 points (18 G, 22 A) under head coach Jim Montgomery and has struggled to produce this year.
Frederic's cap hit is $2.3 million AAV and could find himself on a contending team as a rental in the NHL.
He's not afraid to protect his teammates and is a proven producer.
Could he end up with the New Jersey Devils or with the Colorado Avalanche? It'll be tough to see him go.
