Former Bruins Star Gets In Major Trouble In Vegas
The Dallas Stars came close to handing the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights, their first loss of the 2023-24 season. However, they eventually succumbed in a 3-2 shootout defeat on Tuesday night.
This victory marked a significant milestone for the Golden Knights, as they became the first defending Cup champions to start a season 4-0-0 in the last 25 years, dating back to the 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings. It's an impressive accomplishment.
Interestingly, the outcome might have been different if not for an amusing incident involving Stars' top forward, Tyler Seguin. Upon arriving at the T-Mobile Arena, the security guard didn't initially recognize him and hesitated to allow him access to the dressing room to prepare for the game. Seguin had to provide three forms of identification, eventually resorting to searching for his own profile on NHL.com via his phone to convince the guard that he indeed played for the Dallas Stars.
This incident adds a humorous twist to the game, especially if the security guard attempts the same "challenge" with other visiting teams scheduled to face the Golden Knights in future matchups.
