On Sunday night, news broke out that highly sought after RFA Alex DeBrincat was set to find a new home, after Elliotte Friedman tweeted about the deal.
Since the NHL Trade Deadline, Alex DeBrincat has been all over trade talks, rumours, and social media. The 25-year-old was connected to three teams and the Detroit Red Wings were able to come away with the right winger. Not only that but Detroit Red Wings' GM Steve Yzerman traded DeBrincat in a trade and sign deal — 4-year extension with an AAV of $7,875,000.
The 5'8'' 176 Ib right winger, has played in 450 NHL games, racking up 373 goals, 187 assists, and 373 points across two teams. DeBrincat, started his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks, playing 5 seasons with the organization before being moved to the Ottawa Senators where he would spend a season.
