Tkachuk Charges Goaltender Following Controversial Move On Penalty Shot
In a predictable turn of events, Ottawa Senators' Brady Tkachuk found himself in another contentious situation.
During the late stages of a decisive 4-1 defeat, Tkachuk earned a penalty shot against Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov. However, Kochetkov easily thwarted Tkachuk's attempt with a well-executed diving poke check save.
Tkachuk, apparently displeased with Kochetkov's low move, had to be restrained by officials as he tried to confront the Hurricanes' goaltender.

While Tkachuk's on-ice style is generally admired, going after a goalie in the waning moments of a 4-1 game is a questionable move. It's particularly ill-advised considering there's no one else on the ice to come to Kochetkov's defense.
