Following recent reports it seems like a pair of Philadelphia Flyers veterans will be available for trade.

The Flyers surprised a lot of people this year and the fight for them to make a wild card spot came down to their last game where they ultiamtely lost to the Washington Capitals which would book their ticket to the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Danny Briere is looking to make the Flyers a competitive team heading into next year, and according to some reports he is already trying to move a couple of players. One being Cam Atkinson who only had 28 points in 70 games, and the other is goaltender Cal Petersen who had a very rough year.

"We're looking at every option," Briere said. "Because we're tight on [NHL salary] cap space, we're still looking at every possible option in that direction. Both Cam Atkinson and Cal Petersen want to prove that they can still play in the NHL. So we're evaluating all of that, but we haven't made a final decision yet."

"We're looking at every option," he continued. "It gives us the chance to maybe be open-minded to being creative with something different."

Both of these players are going to be hard to move especially with there contracts as Atkinson is making $5,875,000 and Petersen is making $5 million, both have one year left on their deal.
