Leafs Star Goes Head First Into Boards After A Dirty Hit
William Nylander found himself in a perilous situation after a high-speed collision with the boards, a consequence of a contentious encounter with a Panthers defenseman.
During the second period of the Leafs' showdown with the Panthers, defenseman Dmitry Kulikov executed a controversial hit on William Nylander that many believe warranted a penalty.
Remarkably, Kulikov went unscathed in the eyes of the officials. However, upon reflection, it becomes evident that the hit posed a considerable risk, as it could have inflicted significant harm upon Nylander.
Fortunately, Nylander emerged from the incident unscathed. Yet, this incident serves as a potential precursor to more significant concerns, particularly if Nylander experiences lingering issues that could potentially sideline him in the future, despite the seemingly innocuous nature of the initial hit.
