NHL Analyst Takes A Shot At The Bruins Rivals
Not one to hold back his opinions, former NHL player turned analyst, and a well-known Toronto Maple Leafs enthusiast, Paul Bissonnette, is currently buzzing with excitement over his favorite team's summer acquisitions. These additions have raised expectations for a successful postseason.
The season opener against the rival Montreal Canadiens provided a thrilling spectacle, but the Maple Leafs conceding five goals raised concerns among many fans, despite securing the two points.
We're all aware of the passionate yet sometimes unpredictable nature of sports fanbases. The roller coaster of emotions the Leafs have taken their fans on over the past several years could make anyone a bit crazy.
Bissonnette, being his usual outspoken self, made an audacious prediction regarding the Leafs' performance in the coming weeks.
"You know what's going to happen - they're going to be .500 after 12 games, and the city will be in an uproar. Every year, it's the same story. At the beginning of the season, they might win a few games, but then they'll hit a rough patch, losing 3 or 4 in a row. After 12 games, they'll be at .500, and the city will be in turmoil. I'm telling you, it's bound to happen."
