We almost got to see ex-Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark involved in a goalie fight on Tuesday night after a big brawl broke out between the Ottawa Senators, and St. Louis Blues, but Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington backed out. This would have marked the first goalie fight of the season, and first one in the NHL in some time.
The Ottawa Senators were blowing the St. Louis Blues out of the water, holding a 7-1 lead, when Jordan Binnington decided to enter a big scrum that broke out near his crease, getting into the face of Senators captain Brad Tkachuk.
Binnington must've quickly realized that he would get messed up by Brad Tkachuk, and skated to his bench, that's when ex-Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark challenged him to a old fashion goalie fight at centre ice, but Binnington would decline the offer sadly.
Take a look:
Jordan Binnington is known for being a hot head, previously swinging his stick at Nazem Kadri's head, and he has been the centre of multiple other controversial moments in his career.
In four games this season with the Ottawa Senators Linus Ullmark is 2-2-0 with a 3.35 goals against average, and a .885 goals against average.
Who do you think would have won if we had gotten to see this fight between Linus Ullmark and Jordan Binnington?
