Like years past, as preseason winds down, NHL teams start trimming their rosters down to 23 for the regular season.
And with that, several players from the training camp rosters are placed on waivers and for various reasons. Most of the time, AHL regulars are being sent back down before the season starts, and to do so, they have to clear waivers, leaving other teams a chance to claim them.
Today, six players were placed on waivers, including two goaltenders:
