Carol Vadnais was a defenseman that played 17 seasons in the NHL from 1966-67 until 1982-83 and he won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 1972.
However, that might not be what Vadnais was known for the most:
The defenseman was once arrested in a case of mistaken identity while the Boston Bruins were on a road trip in Philadelphia. FBI agents were convinced that they have found their suspect from a bank robbery that had happened earlier that afternoon. Turns out he was an NHL player and just had the bad luck of looking the same.
Vadnais was, of course, eventually let out of custody and given an apology.
