Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar made prom hockey history with his team's Stanley Cup victory last night.

As per Sportsnet's John Shannon:

Bednar led the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL to a Kelly Cup championship in the 2008�09 season and the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL to a Calder Cup championship in the 2015�16 season.
