The Colorado Avalanche have defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in game six to win the Stanley Cup!
Steven Stamkos started the scoring in the first, but goals in the second period by Nathan MacKinnon and Arturri Lehkonen proved to be enough, as the Avalanche shut it down in the third.
It's Colorado's first Stanley Cup in 21 years, as current GM Joe Sakic was the last to have honours to hoist it as captain.
The Conn Smythe went to superstar defenseman Cale Makar, who finished the playoffs with 29 points in 20 games.
Captain Gabriel Landeskog had the honours of hoisting the Stanley Cup first. He handed it to longest serving member of the Avalanche first, Erik Johnson who has been with the club for 11 seasons.
