A day after Jeremy Swayman missed by inches on an attempt to score on an empty net, a Bruins prospect completed the rare feat.
Francois Brossard of the Maine Mariners (ECHL affiliate) scored while the Adirondack Thunder had its goalie pulled for an extra attacker. See below:
Brossard, 28, has appeared in 9 games for the Mariners this season, registering a 2.26 GAA and a .907 SV%, for a record of 4-5-0.
The Providence Bruins signed the goaltender to a one-year AHL contract on July 23rd. He was selected in the sixth-round (166th overall) by the Ottawa Senators at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
