The Boston Bruins announced that they are partnering with The Hero's Cup Foundation to host the sixth annual "BFit Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament," which will begin today in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The "BFit Heroes Cup" is a weekend-long tournament that brings firefighters, police officers, EMS and military members together to raise awareness for the charities they choose to fundraise. The foundations involved have a collective goal of $500,000 for the 2022 hockey tournament.

The tournament will be hosted at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough from Friday, June 10th, until Sunday, June 12th, and features 110 teams of over 1,100 first responders. Sunday will feature the top four teams from each division in a championship round, with the winner of each division receiving a cash prize that will be added to their donation to a charity of their choice.

President of the Boston Bruins Foundation, Bob Sweeney, released this statement:

"The Boston Bruins Foundation is proud to partner with the Heroes Cup to help grow this initiative involving first responders all over the country ... We look forward to expanding this event and embracing all the charitable events that this tournament supports."
