Over the next several days, we'll be breaking down the top-five prospects in the Boston Bruins organization, up next the number four prospect.
4. John Beecher (F)
The Bruins drafted Beecher in the first round (30th overall) at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
At 6'3'', 210 lbs., the centre put up 6 goals and 9 assists in 34 games with the University of Michigan before heading to Providence for games, where he recorded 3 goals and 2 assists.
Unfortunately, Beecher has dropped a little in the Bruins prospect rankings, partially because of injuries and the stacked offensive talent at Michigan. Even though the forward has fallen down the depth chart, it won't be long before he's in the NHL.
As per Adam McQuaid:
''Kind of put in more of a defensive situation, and the encouraging part of that was his details got a lot better He got better on draws. He was good defensively. He killed penalties. He's a big guy that can skate, and when he's physical, he can be a force.''
Projected NHL arrival: 2023-24 season
