Boston can clinch a playoff spot as early as tonight, here's how.

The Boston Bruins haven't missed the post-season since the 2015-16 campaign.
As a matter of fact, Boston has missed the playoffs just twice in the last ten years. In 2014-15, the team boasted a 41-27-14 overall record, but still didn't make the cut.
The ensuing season, they missed out despite their 42-31-9 record.
But the Bruins are well on their way of reaching the playoffs this year, which would push their current streak of playoff appearances to six consecutive seasons.
With that being said, the Bruins do control their own faith, but will still need to rely on some of their opponents' scores in order to puch their ticket to this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In other words, if the Bruins can get more points in the standings than the Penguins do tonight, the team is officially in.
