At 5'9'' and 194 pounds, Torey Krug is far from your average-sized NHL defenseman.

But one thing is fore sure, the 31-year-old has never been shy of throwing his body around to make plays and distribute some punishing bodychecks.

That's precisely what Krug did when the Boston Bruins took on the St.Louis Blues in the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals. As early as Game 1, Krug made his presence felt.

As you can see in the following video, the former Bruins defenseman first got into a wrestling match with David Perron in front of his own net. Visibly frustrated after having his helmet ripped off, Krug charged at Perron but the Blues forward opted to change.

Krug kept storming down the wing and eventually crossed paths with Robert Thomas, delivering one of the nastiest blows by a Bruins defenseman in recent years.

Check out the entire sequence here:

Ironically enough, the Blues went on to sign Torey Krug just a few weeks later. He's been in St.Louis, skating alongside both David Perron and Robert Thomas since then.
