Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has spent most of this offseason 'putting the band back together'' in a sense.

Trying to reassemble the 2019 team that came within one win of a Stanley Cup as he brought back Patrice Bergeron and David Krejc. But there is at least one member of the Bruin's core who is considering life after Boston.

That would star winger David Pastrnak, who is arguably the Bruins best player and an upcoming free agent next summer. While Sweeney has tried to get an extension done with Pasta, it appears that it might be tougher than first thought.

As reported by Andy & Rono of ARSports, Pastrnak and his camp are in no rush to sign an extension with the Bruins. As per Andy and Rono on Twitter:

''The Boston Bruins would like re-sign David Pastrnak this off-season already, but according to our source Pastrnak is in no rush to sign an extension. Not so good news for Boston.''

The 'source'' states that Pasta's only focus right now, is winning a Stanley Cup, something he's unsure Boston can accomplish.

''It looks like he wants to know if the Bruins still will have a chance to win the Stanley Cup in those next years when Bergeron and Krejci retire. He wants a Stanley Cup so bad. It's his goal.''

'Don't get us wrong. He still prefers to stay in Boston. He loves the city. But nothing is sure right now. Maybe we'll see Stamkos/Gaudreau situation again or something like that in next summer.''
