The Hockey Canada Sexual Assault investigation is in full swing, but that hasn't stopped another scandal from emerging. Today documents were released that implicate Edmonton Oilers' owner, Darryl Katz in a scandal that involves paying for sex with a 17-year-old girl.

The news was broke by NFL insider Benjamin Allbright on Twitter:

''Breaking:

Court filing alledges Edmonton Oilers owner Daryl Katz paid $75,000 to a then underage girl for sex. Katz would have been 53 at the time.

Katz is listed as a 3rd party defendant, and not the main focus of the filing.''

The court documents also included alleged text messages shared between Katz and the complainant. The images include time and date stamps which does provide some credibility to the claims.

These claims come after a very rough year for the NHL. After the Kyle Beach resolution the NHL has tried to rehabilitate their image, but this information likely won't sit well with commissioner Gary Bettman.

What should the NHL do?

NBA owner Donald Sterling was forced to sell the Los Angeles Clippers and was banned for life after racist comments.

Should the NHL follow suit?
