Bruce Cassidy and David Pastrnak comment on Pasta's game winning goal
Before the All-Star break David Pastrnak was one of the hottest goal scorers in the game, he'd scored 14 goals from the beginning of the year until the All-Star Break. He also came out of the All-Star Break firing, adding 2 goals in the first game post break, but then things went quiet. Pasta went completely silent with no points in 5 consecutive games.
Last night Pasta scored the game winning overtime goal against the Ottawa Senators.
After the game both Bruce Cassidy and David Pastrnak commented on how important the goal was for Pasta.
"Every player wants to score in overtime. I think he needed that, to be honest with you." - Bruce Cassidy
"It's been a little dry lately, so obviously it was a nice goal. It was a great win for us and a great way to end the road trip. It wasn't pretty, but we got the two points. - David Pastrnak
