As hockey fans know, NHL players play through all types of injuries, especially come playoff time.
It was uncertain if anybody on the Boston Bruins was playing through injuries, but after media availability, it's confirmed a few were. Most notably is defenseman Matthew Grzelcyk.
Grzelcyk was playing with a dislocated shoulder for most of the playoffs and maybe some regular-season time as well. He announced earlier today that he will need surgery this offseason to repair the damage that was done to the shoulder.
It makes sense now why he was having a rough series against the Carolina Hurricanes, as he clearly wasn't 100%. Grzelcyk was scratched for the remaining two games when Hampus Lindholm returned from injury in game six.
Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery for Grizz!
