The Boston Bruins have the that luxury of already knowing their spot is reserved for the postseason.
Some would say, it's concerning to play a month full of meaningless games but this Bruins team has found a way to make it work - no matter the situation - all season long. Several veterans have carried a workload for the Bruins this season and some are coming off major surgeries, as well.
Most notably, Brad Marchand, who underwent double hip surgery but returned just two weeks into the season (and ahead of schedule). The 34-year-old has been his same old self, as he currently has 20 goals and 36 assists in 54 games.
Patrice Bergeron also minor surgery this summer and is back to a Selke-winning pace in his 19th season in Boston. Captain Bergy is up to 24 goals and 25 assists in 64 games.
David Krejci, 36, is having another solid season after taking a year off to play at home in Czechia. Krejci has collected 52 points in 61 games this season.
Other notable players include Charlie McAvoy, who underwent shoulder surgery last summer and Hampus Lindholm who carried a massive workload when McAvoy was out.
