While the BostonBruins are focused on trying to bring the Stanley Cup back home to Boston, it seems management is already focused on the future.

The NHL Draft Combine was last weekend and the offseason has already begun for 29 other teams across the league.

Bruins' general manager Don Sweeney was active once again during this year's trade deadline as he landed Charlie Coyle from Minnesota and Marcus Johansson from the New Jersey Devils.

While Coyle is signed for one more year at $3.2million, Johansson is an impending free agent and looked at as a rental.

Could the Bruins' give Johansson an extension before July 1st?

According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, it's already being discussed.

LeBrun reports that the Bruins have already had discussions internally about bringing Johansson back based on his impact when healthy. The 28 year old has 11 points in 19 playoff games while looking like a great fit almost anywhere he's been in the lineup. He's coming off a modest three year contract that saw him earn $4.5million a season and considering Johansson's continuous injury issues, it's feasible that Johansson would likely make something similar going forward.

Would you like to see the Bruins' keep Johansson around?
