The Boston Bruins are back in the swing of things as they host the Minnesota Wild at TD Garden tonight.

With the World Juniors behind us and the All-Star game around the corner, teams are starting to ramp up their scouting assignments getting ready for the trade deadline.

Bruins general manager Don Sweeney previously stated that the team would wait to be mostly healthy before deciding on any possible moves.

The team clearly needs some help up front as Pastrnak, Bergeron and Marchand can't be expected to carry the team through the playoffs and secondary scoring is desperately needed.

However the way injuries have gone this season, the team will likely need some defensive depth too just in case.

Similar to how the team landed Nick Holden last season, the team could look for security.

Eklund of HockeyBuzz reports that the Bruins have shown interest in veteran defenseman Michael Del Zotto of the Vancouver Canucks. The 28 year old hasn't been able to fit in with the Canucks and is UFA after the season.

He sat out 13 straight games for the Canucks as "healthy scratch" earlier this season and has just four points in 23 games.
