Are international rules too soft!?
When it comes to hits, especially to the head, the IIHF is a lot more strict. And it was an extremely controversial topic after Czechia's major upset over Canada.
Forward Zach Dean was ejected after a hard hit on Czech defenseman Ales Cech:
Dean was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct from the referees, and Czechia would end up scoring two goals on the powerplay.
Czechia wouldn't need anymore help as they would upset the hosts 5-2.
