After a one-year hiatus in his native Czechia, the 36-year-old is back in Beantown for the 2022-23 NHL regular season.

David Krejci brings a solid veteran presence to the Bruins lockerroom, where he previously spent 15 seasons. According to the NHL record books, once the upcoming season ends, only five players will have played more campaigns in a Bruins uniform; Wayne Cashman (17), Patrice Bergeron (18), Dit Clapper (20), Ray Bourque (21) and Johnny Bucyk (21).
Having spent so much time in a B's jersey means that Krejci has plenty of other franchise records and milestones in sight for the upcoming season.
Should the center play in all 82 games, he'll move into fifth all-time in Bruins history with 1044 games played, ahead of Wayne Cashman (1027) and Zdeno Chara (1023).
Krejci also has 515 assists for the Bruins, seventh on the all-time list. He'll tie Cashman (516) with his next helper, and has a very decent shot at overlapping Hall of Famer Phil Esposito (553) this season as well.
Currently 11th all-time with 41 game-winning goals, Krejci is one winner away from reaching teammate David Pastrnak (42) in the Bruins top ten. The Czech-born also has a few other ranks within reach, with Ken Hodge (47) and Dit Clapper (45) sitting eighth and ninth respectively in all-time game-winners.
But most all, Krejci is looking to put up points in Beantown!
With 730 career points to his name, he sits seventh all-time on the Bruins. With Brad Marchand kicking off the season on the IR list, there's time for Krejci to close in on the winger who's sixth all-time with 795 points.
While Krejci has proven his worth in the regular season, he has stepped his game up time and time again in the playoffs. While we can't predict if the B's will take part in the next postseason, you can bet that - should Krejci reach the playoffs - he'll be a steady contributor.
To this day, only Patrice Bergeron (127) and Ray Bourque (161) have racked up more playoff points than Krejci (124) has in the Bruins black and gold!
