Along with his Czech linemates, Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak took over in last night's 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals.
Pasta is in a contract year, as his party and the organization are still in discussions and plan to be throughout the season. He led the Boston charge with one goal and three assists in the win, including this beauty for his lone goal in the game.
And with that, he set a Bruins franchise record, as per NHL Public Relations:
''David Pastrnak (1-34) became the first player in Bruins history to record at least four points in two separate season-opening games (also 2-24 on Oct. 13, 2016). Pastrnak was one point shy of the franchise mark for points in a season-opening contest, held by Phil Esposito (3-25 on Oct. 10, 1973) and Brad Marchand (2-35 on Oct. 13, 2016).''
